Danny Kaleikini, a staple in Hawaiian music and the “Ambassador of Aloha,” debuted an all-new EP entitled, Aloooha, alongside his grandson, Nicholas Kaleikini. The duo produced and arranged the EP together to create a modern take on the old sounds of Hawai‘i Nei. The jazz and blues-influenced recordings showcase Danny’s legendary vocals backed by the saxophone, piano, acoustic guitar, upright bass, and clarinet. The EP is nominated for EP of the Year at the 2016 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards. Other musicians featured on the EP includes Alika Lyman, Jeff Au Hoy, Dan Del Negro, Curtis Kamiya, and Wil Tafolo.
